MAZDA5 IIHS CRASH TEST RESULT STATEMENT

Jul 30, 2014

WASHINGTON, DC. (July 28, 2014) – Mazda5 received a Poor rating for the most recent Small Overlap Frontal Crash test by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It also received a Marginal rating in their side impact test.

However, in other testing also performed by IIHS, Mazda5 received the Institute's top rating of Good in the Frontal Moderate Overlap and Roof Strength tests.

We take these results seriously, and are studying the results of these IIHS tests as we consider the design of future vehicles.
