MAZDA APPOINTS TIM MANNING TO MAZDA WESTERN REGIONAL GENERAL MANAGER POST

IRVINE, Calif. - Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced Dave Klan, existing regional manager of the Western region, will be returning to Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) to serve as director, sales operations, effective Feb. 1, 2009.
Taking Klan's place as regional general manager of MNAO's Western region will be Tim Manning. Since joining Mazda in 2004, Manning has held several positions, including assistant sales manager Western region; manager, port operations; and most recently director, sales operations and logistics.
"We are happy Dave Klan has the opportunity to return to MCI in his new position but at the same time are glad to see Tim step into his new role," said Eric Johnston, vice president, sales, service and parts, MNAO. "Tim Manning has held many key positions over his time with Mazda that have made him a perfect candidate for Western regional general manager."
Tim Manning joins regional managers Blase de Leo, Southeast region; Peter Donnelly, Northeast region, Jeff Beuck, Gulf region and Ron Stettner, Midwest region.
Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., Mazda North American Operations oversees the sales, marketing, parts and customer service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico through nearly 900 dealers. Operations in Canada are managed by Mazda Canada, Inc., located in Ontario; in Mexico by Mazda Motor de Mexico in Mexico City; and in Puerto Rico by Mazda de Puerto Rico in San Juan.
