Jan 27, 2009
IRVINE, Calif. - Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced the appointment of Nobuyuki "Nick" Sato to vice president of strategic planning and market integration, replacing Shusuke "Kory" Koreeda, effective immediately.
Sato joined MNAO sales operations from Mazda Motor Corporation in May 2008. He has played a key role in the sales department in regional process improvements, inventory optimization initiatives and production negotiation with Mazda Motor Corporation and Auto Alliance International (AAI). Prior to joining MNAO, Sato was the lead of global sales planning process and production allocation in global sales planning.
In a few weeks, Koreeda will return to Mazda Motor Corporation in Japan to the global marketing division. Koreeda has been at MNAO for more than five years and has been instrumental in the success of the product strategy and long term strategy departments.
"Kory has been a tremendous asset to MNAO and he'll continue to work closely with us in his new position at Mazda Motor Corporation," said Jim O'Sullivan, President and CEO, MNAO. "And Nick, given the depth of his experience though out Mazda, including his previous time at MNAO and AAI, is a perfect fit and a great addition to our North American team."
