WASHINGTON, DC (February 12, 2013) – Mazda is pleased to announce that its New England area auto dealers will be donating $50 for every car sold in the month of February to the Doug Flutie, Jr., Foundation for Autism. More than 15 dealerships in Massachusetts and New Hampshire will be participating in this fundraising effort to benefit the Flutie Foundation.
The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism is a charity that Doug and his wife, Laurie, established in honor of their son Doug, Jr., who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three.
“Mazda’s New England area dealers are committed to improving the lives of families living with Autism and hope to write a significant check to the Foundation at the end of February to further support their efforts,” said Joe Shaker, dealer principal of Wellesley Mazda, North Shore Mazda and Cape Cod Mazda.
New England consumers have two great AWD / FWD vehicles – the CX-9 and CX-5 SKYACTIV crossover SUVs – to look at in the Mazda showroom. Additionally, the all-new MAZDA6 SKYACTIV sedan just hit dealerships last month. Rounding out the Mazda line-up is the MAZDA2 subcompact, and the award winning MAZDA3 sedan and hatch back, MAZDA5 multi activity vehicle and MX-5 Miata.
