EXECUTIVE BIOGRAPHY: JAMES LIEVOIS

Title:  CFO & Sr. Vice President Finance, Administration & IT, Mazda North American Operations

James Lievois is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer responsible for directing financial planning, treasury, accounting, tax, administration and information technology for Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) - including U.S., Canadian and Mexican operations.  He was appointed to his current position in December 2008 and reports directly to James O'Sullivan President and CEO, MNAO.

Lievois brings to Mazda a wealth of automotive experience from more than 29 years in the business. He joined Ford Motor Company in 1982 and held a number of management positions during his tenure with Ford.  He moved to MNAO in 1997 and served as Director, Finance Treasury and Administration and Vice President, Finance Treasury and Administration before becoming SVP/CFO. 

Born in Detroit in 1957, Lievois graduated with a B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University in 1980 and received an MBA with an emphasis on finance in 1982 from the University of Detroit.  He serves on the Governing Board of the Los Angeles CFO Executive Summit. 

Lievois is married and has two children.
